another snow day
Another snow day in Germany. Loren was here to enjoy it this time. Germany has had so much snow this December. I'm a little worried that this winter will be very cold! We normally get snow up till the end of March...this could be a very long winter. On another note January 12 is when we find out what is open for our next base! We couldn't be more excited/nervous!!
Nope still not a fan of snowSeth's dance show
Here are pictures of Seth's dance show with his Pre K class. He had a great time dancing in front of everyone and was placed in the front row to show off...he's such a little ham!
Getting ready to start
its snowing!
Snow came early this year! We got our first snow at the beginning of December. Normally we don't get any snow till end of January. Loren was in Italy on an inspection. So I took the boys out in the snow. Seth loved it, Adam hated it! Hopefully when Adam gets a little older he will love it!
Such a great big brother, Seth really wanted Adam to like the snow!
santa visit
Santa home visit is something we always look forward to each year. My wife's group does this for its members and the boys loved it! Seth can't get enough of Santa and asked him at least 3 times for the new toy story mania game for the wii. Adam wasn't too sure about Santa. When he first walked in our house Adam got a little teary but than warmed up to him. It was a wonderful night! Seth talked about this for days...

Soccer season ends
This post is about 6 weeks behind. Better late than never!
This was the first year Seth got to play organized sports. He has always had a certain love for soccer and was so very excited to play! Seth was able to play in the pee wee league because the cut off was Nov 15, meaning he had to be 5 by than. His September birthday sometimes can be tricky! Anyway, since he made the cut off that meant he was playing with 5-7 year olds even though 2/3 of the season he was 4! Okay, keep with me. I was a little worried because he was the youngest kid of the team by far. Most kids were in the 1st grade already and Seth hasn't even started Kindergarten!
Well we went to his first practice and it was very obvious that he was the youngest one...meaning he was slower than every kid, didn't kick near as well, and his attention span was much shorter. After the first practice I thought about pulling him out, I wanted to protect him and not have him play with kids that were much more advanced. Loren, the level headed one here said no, that this would be a great learning experience for Seth. So I let Loren be the great Dad that he is and went with his advice. And well he was right! Each practice, each game, Seth learned something new and gradually got a lot better. It was a process and all along the way he LOVED IT! I guess I wanted to be a helicopter parent and save him from getting made fun of for not being near as good as the other kids. I'm just used to Seth always excelling at everything. In the end he had a great coach, coach Aaron, he learned a lot about soccer, and well he really wants to play again come spring!

Kid's Christmas Party!
I must say I have the very best friends here in Germany! Last week Krista hosted a kids christmas party at her house. It was loads of fun! The kids decorated snowman cakes that Natalie made, did a stocking craft, had a gift exchange, and of course ate yummy food! We had a great time as always. Its so weird to think that all of us will be moving next year. I am really going to miss Stacy, Natalie, and Krista!
