January 2010= SNOW!

Snow, rain, rain/snow mix. That is what January has been for Germany. It really is starting to get old. Here are some pictures of our street which was covered in black ice. No fun at all to drive in, actually very scary!! Ugh, I've got the winter blues and can't wait for spring!!

New Years Eve

You will rarely hear me say, the German's do it better! But New Year's Eve is the exception. They know how to ring in the New Year! Fireworks are legal here and are everywhere! The first year I was here I was so shocked that our entire street (except for us) was setting off fireworks... and good fireworks too.!!! You know the one's you have to go Mexico to buy...LOL! Its awesome!!
This New Year's we spent at the Manis house. Food/drinks/fireworks...FUN!! The fox family came too and since we all have boys...yes you heard that right...6 little boys, 0 little girls...haha! The great thing is our boys love each other and play so well together! Here are some pics from the evening. My camera died about 5 minutes into the fireworks...bummer....
We had a wonderful New Years Eve! Very sad to say its our last one spent in Germany!
But we went out with a bang! Hello 2010!

8 YEARS BABY!!

8 years married and 10 years together. Wow. Really, where has the time gone? When Loren and I first met we knew very early on that we would get married. What can I say, he swept me off my feet and I knew he was the one. The last 10 years we have had good times and hard times, but have remained best friends. I truly cannot believe how lucky I am to have a Husband who supports me, respects me, and shows me his love daily. And to top it off, he is the most amazing Father to our sons. I could not ask for more and thank the Lord every night that I am Mrs. Loren Green.

To celebrate our anniversary we wanted to do something special. We decided to go ice skating and than have dinner at a German restaurant. I have not been ice skating in at least 15 years and it showed as soon as I put on the skates. Honestly, I sucked. Loren was awesome and instantly starting skating...seriously, why is he always good at everything he does?! Anyway, after ice skating we went to the Brauhaus. This restaurant holds a special memory because it was the very first German restaurant we had lunch at 4 1/2 years ago. The first time we had lunch there, we were the nervous Americans who didn't have a clue what to order. Well, living in Europe for over 4 years has paid off and this time we instantly got comfortable and ordered a yummy dinner. It was a wonderful night. Thank you Babe for making it so special. I heart you. Here's to 8 more years together! And many more after that...!!

Loren skating, where am I...attached to the wall of course!

Christmas 2009

Chirstmas this year was wonderful. It was the first time in 2 years that Loren was home the entire Chirstmas season!! We had the best time! The boys are at such a fun age and loved every minute of the Christmas season. The morning of Chritmas was spent unwrapping a million gifts. Thank you all for totally spoiling our boys, they loved everything!! In the evening we had dinner with the Manis family. They are awesome and we have become very close to them.
To sum Christmas up in one word: MAGICAL!
Making sure Santa got his cookies!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is always a very special day in the Green house. Loren and I have mixed our childhood traditions and let the boys open 3 gifts. 1 gift will always be christmas pj's (my childhood tradition) a Christmas book to read that night and than the boys get to pick 1 gift from the tree they want to open (Loren's childhood tradition). This year we had so much fun with the boys.

Adam eating a Christmas cookie before we start opening the 3 gifts

Here are Loren and Seth tracking Santa online. Seth LOVED this and was obsessed with this all night long! He even made us take the laptop in the bathroom with us when we gave the boys their bath so he could track Santa! LOL!

Seth opened his christmas pj's!

Seth wanted to open this gift from Grandpa, it was the Wii circus game!

Adam got this cool helicopter from Grammy!

Both in thier pj's and listening to Loren read them the Christmas books

My turn to read the books!
