bad week and 2 cute pics

Eww, this week has been a hard one. I got food poisoning and was in bed for 2 days! It was HORRIBLE and I thought I was dying (I know a little dramatic, but when your throwing up every 30 minutes that's how you feel!) Thank god my Dad was here to lend a hand with the boys. Seth was so worried about me and wouldn't leave my side. My sweet little boy would come to bed and just lay with me. Its a memory I will cherish forever! So now that I'm healthy (and 6 lbs lighter...hey gota have some benefit, right?) I will get back to this blog! Here are 2 pics I have taken of my little men! They just continue to make me smile everyday!

Merry Christmas!

Life has been so insane this week. I have been so busy that blogging just wasn't in the picture. Its been a good week though. Went to 3 kids x-mas parties and 2 dinners! Whew, can't wait for life to slow down a bit. Many of you have asked how we are doing having Loren gone...well I can honestly say we are fine. Before Loren left (3 weeks ago today) we did our own Christmas Eve and Christmas. It was very special to us and I wouldn't of had it any other way. The boys are at a great age where they have no idea when Christmas actually is so it went perfectly. Since we had our Christmas 3 weeks ago it feels like Christmas already passed. But of course Seth has his Grammie's and Aunt Becky's gifts to open tomorrow...okay I'll admit it, yes, I bought him a couple more gifts to open tomorrow too!

Tomorrow we will be heading to my good friends Niki and Loren's (yes her husband has the same name as mine) house for dinner! We will miss Loren dearly tomorrow but we have been so blessed this year that I can't complain. Love you all and Merry Christmas!!

Speaking of Santa...

Every year my wife's group (which totally ROCKS) does Santa home visits. (again, I have avoided this visit for 2 years because I knew Seth would be scared) Not this year! Santa rang the door bell and Seth just lit up. The smile on his face stayed all evening long!

A miracle has happened!

Seth loves Santa!!!

It took him 4 years, yes 4 years! Here is a picture of him at 1 with Santa. As you can see he is terrified!!! It was a horrible experience for all of us. Seth was scared to death of Santa and Loren and I felt horrible for making him sit on his lap!

So the past 2 years we have avoided Santa because he truly was scared of him. I didn't see the need to scare him so we just stayed away.



Well this year was the exception! He has seen Santa 3 TIMES AND LOVED HIM! I never thought this day would come!!!

Happy 7 years!!

7 years ago Loren and I got married at Edwards Mansion in Redlands, CA. Our ceremony and reception were beautiful and I carry so many cherished memories in my heart from our day. The years together have gone by so fast. We have really grown together and I couldn't ask for a more supportive and attentive Husband!

I love you Loren and look forward to many more years to come!!

USO Concert

What a day, whew! So Niki, Michelle and I lined up to see the FREE USO concert tour on base and well, we were the first people there...HAHA! We met at noon and thought that would give us plenty of time since doors didn't open till 1:30. So needless to say we had an awesome view...first row, center stage. All the acts were AWESOME! There was a HUGE feeling of patriotism in the hanger. Made me feel proud to be a military wife! What a FUN day!

And My Dad said the boys were great!! It was a wonderful day. Made me miss Loren a lot.


Niki- just love her! Been friends for 3 years! Germany would not be as awesome if it weren't for her. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself when she moves in May *tears*

Well, I'm off to see Kid Rock/Lewis Black/Kellie Pickler at the USO concert today with my friends!! My Dad is watching my boys so wish him luck...haha!

Adam is 3 months old!

Tomorrow my littlest man graduates from a newborn to an infant. He will be 3 months old! It has gone by so fast. Here is a little bit about him...

He loves...
-Seth kissing his nose
-being held like a football

-his stoller...finally...thank god!

-dog rattle my Mom sent him

He hates...
-people singing to him, haha

-getting dressed
-wind in his face

His milestones...
-has 2 TEETH, crazy!!..but my Dad will tell you its true! both teeth have broken thru the skin...
-holds a rattle
-holds his hands together
-smiles and laughs
-follows me with his eyes when I walk around a room
-trying to roll over...not there yet

Other tidbits....
-gets cranky for only ten minutes before he goes to bed at night
-sleeps on his side
-doesn't eat much in the morning
-loves his swing
-doesn't mind being dirty or wet...ewww!

Adam we absolutely adore you! We love you so very much and feel so blessed to be your parents!

Seth's Christmas Pageant

My little man is growing up! He had his very first Christmas Pageant last weekend for his preschool. He was so excited to sing, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I rehearsed these songs with him all week long. He knew every word! When we entered the auditorium he got very scared, he thought he had to go on stage by himself *so cute*. Once he saw Dylan and Tyler from his class and realized he would go up with his buddies he was excited again! He did great on stage, sang and danced! It was a wonderful day and a great memory! Made me a little sad though, he's growing up!

Why, why, why...is it that every time Loren leaves the kids get sick!!! Urgh! Monday I got a call from Seth's preschool Director telling me I need to pick him up b/c she thinks he has pink eye...oh brother! So I picked him, took him to the doctor, and not only did he have pink eye he had double ear infections! Well now its Friday and you guessed it, Adam has pink eye!! Here's a pic of Adam's eye...:( Seth's was never that bad and went away within 48 hours so I never got a picture. Here's to hoping they both feel better soon!


I'm sure I'll wake up tomorrow with itchy eyes too...geez!

One week down...

Loren left a week ago today. Its been a hard week adjusting to daily life without him. The boys couldn't be cuter but keep me on my toes constantly! I'm so busy now that's its just me taking care of them and rarely have time to sit down and take a breath. Having Loren gone makes me realize how much he does around here. He's such a hands-on Dad and does so much around the house even after a long day of work. I miss him. My heart is sad. We've been married almost 7 years and this is our 5th deployment. You'd think I'd get used to it by now, but somehow it gets harder. I hope June comes soon...

So I'm a little obsessed with the show The Real Housewives of Orange County. Yeah, I know, their such snotty, self absorbed woman but I can't help but love the show! I find myself counting down the days till the next episode...geez, pathetic, huh?

Our Thankful Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was extra special this year. For one. Loren was home! Last year he spent Thanksgiving in Afghanistan while Seth and I were in California. My Dad is also here so it was nice to have some family around. We also knew Loren will miss Christmas this year so it made us really appreciate this holiday together!

In the morning I cooked a bunch of yummy appetizers that we took to our friends home. In the afternoon we went to Stacy and Jared's house. Her parents are in town as well and another mutual friend was there with her family....so as you can imagine her home was full of people/kids and laughter...it was great. Stacy and I have quickly become great friends so it was really nice to spend the Holiday together. We played Scene-it while dinner was cooking...and, umm, I must add I got the winning question right!

It was a great Thanksgiving! Family/friends were wonderful, food was delicious, and most important we were together. Here are some pics that we took! I was bummed I didn't get any at Stacy's house.
